SiteWeave Launch Baffins Surgery web site

Baffins Surgery provides medical services to patients on the eastern side of Portsea Island, Portsmouth and is conveniently located only a two minutes walk away from the SiteWeave office in Copnor - making a great savings in postage since it's quicker to walk to the surgery than the post box at the end of the road!

Their list size is around 8,000 patients, but will probably expand in the near future with planned local housing developments. The practice has been established in the location for more than sixty years with a long Christian ethos.

The practice operates from new premises at St Cuthbert's Church, on Hayling Avenue. They were delighted when they were approached by the Anglican Church, located within 200 yards of their previous surgery, and asked to participate in a healthy living project, developing the Church for wider community use. The new site has been developed with Private Finance Initiative (PFI) monies and there is ample space for future developments.

The Baffins Surgery web site was created by SiteWeave who will host, maintain and promote the site.

Different Strokes and Portsmouth Monopoly Board

Different Strokes Portsmouth has been successful in reaching the last 16 charities nominated for a coveted square on the Portsmouth edition of the famous Monopoly Game which is due out in October 2008.

All the superb charities that have been shortlisted all deserve a place on this board but naturally we would like it to be Different Strokes to raise more awareness and support for the work our charity does. It's such a shame there is only one space available.

Stroke Survivor's Web Site Goes from Strength to Strength

The Different Strokes Portsmouth web site (www.different-strokes-portsmouth.org.uk) was written by SiteWeave in December 2007; they then handed over the updating of the site to members of the group.

Current web master, Doug Laybourne, has been adding more Personal Stories to the web site and it now features the biographies of seven stroke survivors.

The web site provides useful links for stroke survivors, their friends and families and keep everyone up to date with what's going on.

SiteWeave launch Different Strokes web site

SiteWeave launched a web site designed to promote help and support for survivors of strokes, their families and carers.

Different Strokes Portsmouth (www.different-strokes-portsmouth.org.uk) gives details of events and activities in the Portsmouth area and features interviews with stroke survivors.

The launch is timely since Portsmouth features in the Channel 4 television program Secret Millionaire, due to be broadcast on Wednesday 5 December.

One of the trainers who helps stroke survivors with exercise activities is Tony Duke; Tony and his wife Zoe run Vitalyz, a Portsmouth based company which provides exercise training for the care sector.

SiteWeave also wrote and host the Vitalyz web site.
