SiteWeave launch PBP Film web site

SiteWeave are pleased to announce the launch of PBP-Films web site. The site describes the filming of the 2003 Paris-Brest-Paris cycling event, in which those taking part have to complete the 1200 km (750 miles) of the course in less than 90 hours. The event is held every four years, and 2007 is an event year, taking place during 20 to 24 August.

The web site tells the story of the making of a film of the last event, in 2003 and it is possible to purchase a copy of the film on DVD from the web site.

The film was directed by Fleur Whitlock, now a freelance art director, working in films and television, and the web site was created by John Burchett and John Studd - owners of SiteWeave Internet Services LLP. Fleur and John Studd first met many years ago when John taught Fleur chemistry at Cowplain Comprehensive School.

SiteWeave launch Floatel web site

Isle of Wight Charters B & B operate two charter boats: MV Newclose and MV Sea Wasp, moored next to each other on Wootton Creek, on the Isle of Wight. Once working boats, they are now floatels - offering the facilities of a motel afloat! Both offer comfortable accommodation in a quiet and beautiful part of the Isle of Wight. The boats can sleep up to 12 people in double or family cabins and feature showers (some en-suite), a lounge and sun deck. They are ideal bases for walking or cycling holidays, providing a peaceful and relaxing place to return to after a day exploring the beauties of the Island.

SiteWeave supports WaterAid

We all take water for granted in the UK - even when we have hose pipe bans we still have plenty of water for washing and cooking. Sadly this is not the case in many parts of the world, so SiteWeave are helping those countires where water is scarce or pollited, or both, by supporting WaterAid.

Please visit the SiteWeave Water Aid page and the WaterAid web site.

SiteWeave launch Safe-T-Light web site

Safe-T-Light is a unique nightlight which has several features:

It is a safety light which you can plug into any socket, ideally in the hallway or stairs to provide a nightlight, lighting the stairs and hallsway throughout the night.
Plastic, stick-on filters are provided so that you can "tone-down" the light if required.

It will switch on automatically when darkness falls and switch off when daylight returns - or when you switch the lights on. It is so designed that you can plug another device into the socket built into the Safe-T-Light, thus you do not lose access to a socket.

The light unit is detachable, thus doubling up as a rechargable torch - if you need a torch at night you can readily find the Safe-T-Light and simply remove the light unit and use it as a torch. Once fully charged the battery will operate for up to ten hours. If there is a power failure at night the Safe-T-Light will, because of its internal rechargeable battery, remain alight for up to ten hours.

The Safe-T-Light is a British invention, click on the link to the BBC web site to see a video of its inventor, Chris Haines, talking about the safety light. Click the link to find out more about the Safe-T-Light and to purchase a Safe-T-Light - £22.99 including VAT and post and packaging visit www.safetlight.co.uk/buy_safety_light.asp.

The Safe-T-Light and SiteWeave featured in an article in the Portsmouth Evening News in September 2007.
